Sportsman Rules –
The following rules are set as a guide only and are in no way a
guarantee against injury or death to participants or others. Track
officials have the final decision. If there are any concerns not covered
in these rules, consider any alterations to be illegal unless told
otherwise by the Deerfield Raceway Tech Inspector.
ALL CARS MUST HAVE AN ON/OFF SAFETY SWITCH MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT REAR
TRUNK OR REAR UPPER BODY PANEL. MUFFLERS MANDATORY, HOOSIERS ONLY.
All cars must have a tech and weight sticker BEFORE entering the race
track.
Follow TUSA Rules with these exceptions-
1. No engines newer than 2006 (This rule be reviewed after the
2008 season)
2. Classic Body Styles only.
3. Must have four working brakes, drums OK.
4. All cars must weigh 1390 with the following exceptions,

4a. Any two valve motor, 1100 cc max plus 1% over
bore, weight 1240

4b. Any carbureted four valve engine 1995 and older,
850 cc max with no % over, weight 1240

4c. 2003 and older fuel injected 750 Suzuki engine
allowed, no overbore, gasoline only, weight 1340

4d. 2004-05-06 750 Suzuki engine allowed, no
overbore, gasoline only, weight 1365

4e. No other fuel injected engine allowed without
review by tech officials prior to installation in the car

4f. 1050cc up to 1105cc 4 valve carbureted engine
with no % over, gasoline only, weight 1390

4g. 1049cc and under carbureted engine with no %
over, gasoline only, weight 1365

4h. 1105cc is max engine size except Harley Davidson
-
4i. Harley Davidson 1200cc engine allowed weight
1240
5. No quick change rear ends allowed.
6. Tire 40 durometer on max 8" wheel
7. 28 cars plus- The track will run two features for the
Sportsman Division. Each feature will receive regular feature payout.
